the same promotional sticker as folder 103 and the same identification: DIDX 3093 on the inlay and the disc puts it on 3152234, and this copy's mirror ring reads 3-2-10 CAPITOL JAX 10 C as well, so the two promotional copies came off the same stamper. What separates them physically is the booklet: folder 103's back cover has a clipped corner and this one's is square The country here is recorded as US on the evidence of the disc itself; Discogs files 3152234 as UK & US, which is a cataloguing convention for a jointly-issued title, not a second country of manufacture for this copy.

Mirror ring photographed and read. The etched ring resolves to 3-2-10 CAPITOL JAX 10 C, matching folder 103's and 3152234's recorded variant 5. Only the quoted portion was read; the characters between the catalogue group and the stamper number did not resolve.

  • The same Capitol promotional sticker as folder 103, cream and black, FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY / NOT FOR SALE., coded C2-90258.
  • Barcode on a sticker, 7777-90258-2, on the rear inlay corner.
  • The booklet's back cover corner is square, where folder 103's is cut. This is the only photographed difference between the two promotional copies.

  • Case/inlay: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no cracks or splits visible in these shots.
  • Disc: light surface marks and handling sheen catch the light. No visible deep scratches or disc-face damage in these photographs.

Nothing on this page comes from playing the record. No Goldmine grade is claimed for it, or any other. I have no record of where this copy came from.

What is settled, and what is not

Settled on the same two grounds as folder 103, and the pair is more informative together than either is alone. Both promotional copies carry DIDX 3093, both read 3-2-10 CAPITOL JAX 10 C off the ring, and both therefore came from 3152234's variant 5 stamper. Two copies with the same sticker and the same stamper is what a promotional run looks like.

The difference between them is the booklet corner: cut on folder 103, square here. That is worth recording precisely because it shows the clip is a handling mark applied to individual copies rather than a feature of the promotional issue.

As with folder 103, the pressing is identified and the promotional issue as such is not catalogued: this master's only promo CD rows are Japanese.
