Mirror ring photographed and read. Under raking light the etched ring resolves to 3-2-10 CAPITOL JAX 10 C, with the preceding 90258 group legible and the characters between it and the stamper number not. That is 3152234's variant 5, which Discogs records in full as CDP 7 90258 2 AR . @3 + 3-2-10 CAPITOL JAX 10 C; only the part quoted above was read here.

Folder 104, the other promotional copy here, has a square corner, so the clip is not a feature of the issue.
- The disc and inlay are the ordinary retail pressing. The promotional content of this copy is entirely on the outside: a sticker and a cut corner.

- Case/inlay: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no cracks or splits visible in these shots.
- Disc: light surface marks and handling sheen catch the light. No visible deep scratches or disc-face damage in these photographs.
Nothing on this page comes from playing the record. No Goldmine grade is claimed for it, or any other. I have no record of where this copy came from.
What is settled, and what is not
Settled twice over, which is why this is the best-evidenced of the four American copies. DIDX 3093 places it on 3152234, and the mirror ring places it inside that row's variant 5 - a match on an etched string rather than on a printed one.
The promotional sticker is the interesting part and the part most likely to be over-read. It says C2-90258, which is Capitol's album number and also the catalogue number of 11490257, the US longbox issue. That is not a reason to prefer 11490257: this disc says CDP 7 90258 2 and carries a DIDX that 11490257 does not record, and a promotional sticker naturally cites the album number rather than the disc's.
What it does mean is that this master has no row for a promotionally stickered American copy at all - its only three promo CD rows are Japanese. So the pressing is identified and the issue, as a promotional object, is not catalogued. Both of those are true at once and the dossier says so rather than choosing one.
Standing caveat: the version list is incomplete by construction, and this copy is a small demonstration of it.
