Sleeve, labels and inserts
- Obi - the original blue strip, complete and undamaged, wrapped around a standard jewel case. It is the single most losable component of a Japanese CD and the one this identification rests on.
- Shrink-wrapped - the case is in its wrap, with the obi held under it.
- Condition - wrap creased; obi bright, with every line legible at native resolution.
- No disc photograph. The disc was not removed, so no matrix ring was read - 5798839 records four matrix variants and this copy is not assigned to one.
What distinguishes this pressing

- Outer wrap: the original shrink-wrap is intact and unbroken. It is creased and in places clouded, which is what the photographs show through.
- Packaging: no splits, cracks or corner damage visible through the wrap.
- Disc: not visible. The copy has not been opened, so nothing is recorded here about the disc's surface, its matrix ring or its SID codes.

What is settled, and what is not
Settled on the obi, which is where a Japanese CD keeps its identity. Five rows share CP32-5610: the first issue, a Different OBI strip variant, a promo, and two repressings.
The price knocks out the repressings: this obi says ¥3,200 and both repress rows are recorded as the ¥3008 version. The sticker offer knocks out the variant: メタル・ステッカー付き … 666プレゼント is printed low on this strip, and Discogs records exactly that as the mark of 5798839, the very first issue. The promo knocks itself out - its back inlay carries a printed red 見本品 box and its disc reads SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE; this back inlay is clean.
Three exclusions, three different pieces of print, all read at native resolution off an intact obi.
What is not established: which of 5798839's four recorded matrix variants this disc is. That needs the disc out of the case, and this copy is still in its wrap. It does not affect the row.
Standing caveat: a Japanese pressing absent from Discogs cannot be excluded.
