- Condition - card creased at the folds and lightly rubbed; shell clean.
- The shell is a variant Discogs does not picture. 9550342's own photographs show a black ribbed shell, laid out identically - same Capitol roundel, same
SIDE ONEblock, sameC4 590258and Dolby device - where this copy's shell is clear and smooth. The row's notes record no shell colour at all, so nothing in the listing is contradicted; what is shown is that one club catalogue number was issued in at least two shells.

What is settled, and what is not
Settled on the distributor line, and it fills a gap folder 73 left open. The identification is the same one folders 60 and 73 carry, on the same printed address and the same 788059C.
What is new is the shell. Folder 73 has eleven photographs and every one is of the card, so the cassette itself was undocumented for that copy. This folder shows both faces: clear plastic, white on-body print, SIDE ONE / SIDE TWO with the titles, and C4 590258 set without the hyphen the card uses. That is now on the record for the Columbia House edition generally.
The shell raises a question the grade survives (checked 2026-09-18). The owner noticed that 9550342's own images show a black ribbed shell where this copy's is clear and smooth. Both were compared frame to frame: everything printed on the two shells agrees - the Capitol roundel, SIDE ONE over the four side-one titles, C4 590258 and the Dolby device, in the same layout - and only the plastic differs. The identification never rested on the shell: it rests on the Columbia House Scarborough address printed on the U-card and on 788059C, which the row records and the US club row does not, and no other Canadian club cassette row carries C4-590258 at all. The listing's notes say nothing about a shell, so a clear one contradicts nothing recorded; the sensible reading is one club issue pressed in two shells, with Discogs picturing the other. The grade stays Confirmed and the variant is written down rather than smoothed over.
Standing caveat: a club pressing absent from Discogs cannot be excluded.
