the card is folder 78's card - the alternate cover, the same Kent Elektronik block, the same RAPAK • ₺8453.00, the same holographic panel - and the shell carries the same registration string, KB 89 • 34 • Ü • 008 • TCP • 2286. The shell construction is what separates them. 15093759's format text is Paper Print and folders 57 and 78 have a cream paper label; this copy has no label at all - the text is printed directly onto clear plastic. 12269714's five photographs show exactly that shell, down to the five-digit 07498 printed beside the right-hand hub, which this copy also carries. That reading is off the row's images rather than out of its fields, and the images are addressable: their URIs are in the committed release-12269714.json

The object, and what marks it out

Sleeve, labels and inserts

  • Shell - clear plastic with white text printed directly on the body, no paper label anywhere. Visibly a different object from folders 57 and 78, which carry cream printed labels.
  • Inlay - the same glossy alternate-cover card as folder 78, with the holographic foil panel and the Turkish rights notice.
  • No banderole. Folders 57 and 78 each carry a yellow Turkish tax sticker; this copy has none, consistent with a later repress.
  • Condition - card creased along the folds; shell clean and the printed registration line legible at native resolution.

What distinguishes this pressing

  • Direct on-body printing rather than a paper label - the discriminator. 15093759 is recorded Paper Print; 12269714 is not, and its photographs show this construction.
  • 07498 beside the hub - the sharper form of the same discriminator: the identical five digits appear in 12269714's own shell photographs. It is part of the printing, not a per-copy stamp.
  • KB 89 • 34 • Ü • 008 • TCP • 2286 - shared with 15093759, so it establishes the family and excludes the 1988 row 6299160 (KTB 88.34.Ü.008.2286), but it does not separate the reissue from the repress. Recording it as a discriminator would have chosen the wrong row.
  • The alternate cover art - again shared between the 1989 reissue and the 1993 repress. Corroboration, not separation.
  • The absent banderole - consistent with a repress rather than the 1989 issue, but absence of a sticker is not evidence anyone recorded.

  • Case/inlay: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no cracks or splits visible in these shots.
  • Shell: light surface marks and handling wear are visible. No visible warping, tape spillage or shell damage in these photographs.

What is settled, and what is not

Settled on how the shell was decorated, which is the only thing that separates these two rows. This copy and folder 78 carry the same card, the same alternate artwork, the same price code and the same registration string. On the string alone they would be the same release, and folder 57's dossier - written before this tape arrived - treated that string as the deciding evidence.

It is not quite. Discogs records 15093759's format text as Paper Print; 12269714 carries no such note and its five photographs show a clear shell with the text laid straight onto the plastic and 07498 beside the hub. This copy is the second kind: no label, same five digits.

So the shelf's three Turkish cassettes now sit on three different rows - folder 64 on 6299160 (1988, 88.34.Ü.008.2286, standard cover), folders 57 and 78 on 15093759 (1989, paper label), and this one on 12269714 (1993 repress, direct print). The registration string groups the last three together and the shell construction splits them.

Standing caveat: a Turkish repress absent from Discogs cannot be excluded.
