Why this grade

the shell states MADE IN GREECE BY EMI and carries AEPI, the Greek rights society, beside 262-7902584 - matching the one Greek row in the master on country, catalogue number and rights society - all of which are territory-wide and would separate nothing. The number 14797 at the foot of the shell label is what settles it. It looked like an unusable plant code until the release was fetched: 5935798 records Made By – Columbia, Athens with the catalogue number 14797 against it. A pressing-plant job number, printed on the object and recorded on the row, is exactly the release-specific corroboration the grade asks for

What is settled, and what is not

Settled on a plant number that was nearly thrown away. MADE IN GREECE BY EMI and AEPI are printed on the shell and 262-7902584 on both the spine and the label, which fixes country and catalogue number from the cassette itself.

Those alone would only be Probable: a rights society and a manufacturer credit belong to the Greek issue as a class. The 14797 at the foot of the label is different. Discogs records Made By – Columbia, Athens for this row and gives 14797 as that company's number - the Athens plant's job number, which is release-specific by nature and matches exactly.

Worth recording as a method note: this entry originally called 14797 unusable, on the grounds that no Discogs row recorded it. The row did. The companies block had simply not been read, which is the same failure the skill warns about when it says to check a discriminator against the fetched data every time rather than assuming what is there.

Standing caveat: a Greek pressing absent from Discogs cannot be excluded.
