The object, and what marks it out
Sleeve, labels and inserts
- Shell - black plastic with a horizontal textured pattern across both faces, printed in silver, with
MADE IN CANADAmoulded into the body. - Inlay - glossy colour J-card, blue inner panels printed in yellow and white, opening to the Riggs artwork.
- Case - standard clear library case.
- Condition - the most worn of the three Canadian copies: card creased across both folds, edges rubbed, and carrying the handwritten owner's mark noted above. Folders 55 and 56 are cleaner.

Condition, from the photographs
A photograph cannot grade a record - this is a description of what is visible, not a grade.
- Case/inlay: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no cracks or splits visible in these shots.
- Shell: light surface marks and handling wear are visible. No visible warping, tape spillage or shell damage in these photographs.

What is settled, and what is not
Settled by the owner on 2026-09-18 -- the closing paragraph of this section says so, and the grade above follows it. What comes first is the photographic case exactly as it stood before that, present tense and all: where it says this copy stops at Narrowed, it means the photographs stop there, which is still true and is why the candidates are still listed.
Canada is settled twice over; the choice between two Canadian rows is not. The shell prints its manufacturer and a street address, and the moulding says MADE IN CANADA independently of the print. There is no doubt about origin.
C4 90258 returns two rows, 29212252 and 4627984, both dated 1988-04-11, both Capitol Records-EMI Of Canada, both carrying the same barcode and the same note that the Canadian cassette is 'very similar to the US cassette with the same catalog number, with the exception of the placement of logos on the spine, the manufactured by note on the cassette, and a few credits'.
29212252 additionally opens with Black horizontal pattern on shell., which describes this copy exactly. That is why it leads. It is not enough to confirm, because 4627984 says nothing about its shell - and an absent note is not a difference, only an unfilled field. Folder 52 shows what a real discriminator looks like: there, both candidates describe their shells and disagree, so matching one excludes the other.
Three copies of this release are on the shelf - folders 54, 55 and 56. Every printed and moulded string matches across all three; they differ only in condition and in the handwritten owner's mark on this one. Three copies of an indistinguishable pair does not narrow the pair.
Standing caveat: this method cannot exclude a pressing absent from Discogs.
Pinned by the owner, 2026-09-18. Everything above is what the photographs support on their own, and it is left standing unedited. On top of it the owner, holding the cassette and reading the candidate release pages against it, identifies this copy as Discogs 4627984, and the folder is graded on that. It is an owner's judgement, not a new detail in the frames: withdraw it and the case reverts to the narrowing above.
