Folder 175
Catalogue number 19V-49058 -- read in two places that agree, spine and hype sticker. Three rows in the version list carry it, all CMV Enterprises, so the number puts the copy in the CMV family rather than naming a row on its own.
Every line below was read off a native-resolution crop of the photograph named beside it.
Front of the slipcase through the wrap: IRON MAIDEN logo over the Derek Riggs Eddie-on-a-motorcycle artwork with the Union Flag, MAIDEN ENGLAND in a red stamp box, and a black hype sticker at lower left reading NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE U.S. over 19V-49058

19V-49058 -- read in two places that agree, spine and hype sticker. Three rows in the version list carry it, all CMV Enterprises, so the number puts the copy in the CMV family rather than naming a row on its own.NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE U.S. hype sticker -- a retail sticker, applied at the factory under the wrap rather than at a shop, so it belongs to the release and not the point of sale. It says this tape was sold to the US public, which is the US retail row's whole description and the opposite of a promo's.0 4474 - 49058 - 3 -- a US-format barcode whose item digits repeat the catalogue number. Shared across every copy of the commercial release, so it corroborates the US retail issue without being a discriminator.VHS hi-fi STEREO and Dolby on linear tracks -- format statements, shared with any CMV printing of this sleeve; they separate nothing.Filmed at Birmingham N.E.C. on 27 and 28 November 1988, during the Seventh Tour Of A Seventh Tour -- Iron Maiden's own back-sleeve text calls it "a personal fans-eye view of Maiden at their bombastic best". Running time 95 minutes. The release credits no performing line-up.
Directed and edited by Steve Harris. Produced, engineered and mixed by Martin Birch. Sleeve illustration by Derek Riggs. Photography by Ross Halfin. Package designed by The Complete Works. Issued by Picture Music International. Video copyright EMI Records Ltd.
Production credits are sourced from Discogs release 871017, the UK VHS and this master's main release, and apply to the film rather than to this copy. Where this copy's own sleeve or shell carries the publisher or copyright lines, they are quoted in the evidence above.
A photograph cannot grade a record - this is a description of what is visible, not a grade.
Nothing on this page comes from playing the record. No Goldmine grade is claimed for it, or any other. I have no record of where this copy came from.
The slipcase is the whole of the evidence, and it rules out two of the three candidates on its own. 19V-49058 reads cleanly on the spine and the hype sticker and matches three CMV Enterprises rows; the rear panel's CBS Records New York address, the UPC barcode and the first time in the U.S. sticker are all American and none of them is Korean, so the 1995 South Korean PAL row drops out.
The UK promo drops out too, and not from the American markers -- from the promo's own packaging. Discogs describes release 12084560 as a "promotional screener in plain white slipcase with sticker on front". That is not this object: every photograph shows the full printed Derek Riggs retail artwork -- the motorcycle Eddie, the Union flag, the red MAIDEN ENGLAND stamp -- through an intact shrink, with a UPC and a hype sticker aimed at a buyer rather than a reviewer. A plain white screener case is not a marking that the wrap could be hiding; it is a different slipcase, and this is not it. That leaves the US retail row, 4614014, as the only survivor.
No video standard is printed on any face photographed. NTSC comes from the Discogs row, not from the object, and the version list is incomplete by construction, so an uncatalogued CMV printing under the same number cannot be excluded -- the same caveat any Sealed grade carries regardless of how the wrap is read.
