Brazil, 1995. A double LP pressed by Sonopress for BMG-Ariola and distributed by EMI-Odeon: the rear sleeve says MADE IN BRAZIL in as many words, and BMG is cut into the run-out of both discs.

Why this grade
the sleeve code 168 835819 1 matches the Brazilian release and nothing else on the master, and two further marks carried by no other candidate back it up: the FABRICADO POR BMG-ARIOLA DISCOS LTDA. DIVISÃO SONOPRESS block with Ⓟ 1995 MADE IN BRAZIL, and the BMG etched into the run-out of both discs. The owner's own reading of the run-out adds ISTA 1 beside the side-A number; the frames here show a short etched group in that spot and the letters 1STA 1 can be made out, but the reading by eye is what resolves it, and it changes nothing about the grade. Every other LP on this master is a UK, European or US pressing, so nothing else survives the country evidence. The version list is incomplete by construction, so an uncatalogued Brazilian pressing cannot be excluded.

Every line below was read off a native-resolution crop of the photograph named beside it.

Run-out photographed, all four sides. Disc one is 835820 -1 -A and 835820 -1 -B; disc two is 835821 -1 -A and 835821 -1 -B - the two label numbers, one per disc, with a side letter. BMG is etched separately on side A and on side C, which is the plant signature rather than a stamper code. A further short group sits beside the side-A number; the owner reads it ISTA 1.

Sleeve, labels and inserts

Outer sleeve - single pocket, not a gatefold, with the machine photograph and the four-side tracklist on the back. Shelf wear along the top edge and a split starting at the top right corner.
Two black vinyl discs, standard weight, each with the picture labels: disc one carries the harness photograph on side A and the electric-chair photograph on side B; disc two carries the Eddie head-clamp image on side C and the X-frame image on side D.
Dealer sticker on the front, top left, from merci discos - a São Paulo shop, and the only thing on the copy that is not factory.
No inner sleeves or inserts appear in any frame.

bel BIEM on the labels rather than a European rights society - the Brazilian collecting society beside the international bureau.
Label numbers 835820 1 and 835821 1, one per disc, matching the run-out numbers cut into the same discs.

Condition, from the photographs

A photograph cannot grade a record - this is a description of what is visible, not a grade.

Sleeve: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no splits or seam separation visible in these shots.
Vinyl: light surface marks and handling sheen catch the light. No visible deep scratches, warping or edge damage in these photographs. The labels are clean and unmarked.

What is settled, and what is not

Nothing outstanding. Country, catalogue number, plant and run-out all point the same way, and the only Brazilian LP on the master is the one they point at.
