Why this grade

Brazilian pressing: the sleeve says FABRICADO E DISTRIBUIDO POR FONOBRAS, the label says Sob licença de EMI-ODEON and O OUTRO LADO / ESTE LADO, and the sleeve catalogue number 070 781456 1 matches exactly one vinyl version on the master, release 3223853 (Brazil, 070 781456 1, 781456 1). Those are what corroborate the release. The matrix cross-check does the opposite: release 3223853 has since been fetched, it records EMD 1042 A-01-1 781456-1-A (Discogs stores a leading space before that value) and EMD 1042 B-01-1 781456-1-B, and the deadwax here matches NEITHER. It carries a TY2 the Brazilian entry does not record at all, and a doubled -01-01- where that entry reads -01-1. A near miss in a stamper field is routinely a different pressing rather than a transcription slip, so the copy is not pinned: what the fetch bought was a documented mismatch, not a confirmation. The same two features -- TY2 and -01-01- -- are what the UK LP 1832006 records (EMD 1042 A-01-01-1 TY2), which is a resemblance worth recording and nothing more; nothing in the cached evidence says where either copy's metal parts were made. The version list is incomplete by construction, so an uncatalogued Brazilian repress cannot be excluded either.

A raking-light photograph of each side's run-out read END TO END, in one unbroken string. This copy and Discogs' entry for 3223853 already disagree on two points -- the TY2 stamp and the doubled -01-01- -- and until a full reading exists there is no telling whether that entry is an incomplete transcription of this same pressing or whether this copy is an undocumented variant of it. Either answer settles the grade, and both are worth adding to Discogs.
