Why this grade

Only one release in the master carries Mediamotion rings with the '-NL' suffix: the 2005 EMI Europe issue. The UK release 1885428 lists disc 1 ending '010202' with no '-NL' and disc 2 as '3364482', and the later Europe/Parlophone reissues (6485763, 7871775, 38026284) are optimal media discs with 'A963874' rings. Disc 1's '010106-NL' matches Discogs variant 1 exactly. Disc 2's '010107-NL' is not among the entries Discogs records for 5796857 (010108-NL, 010104-NL), so this disc 2 is an undocumented plant number within that release rather than a mismatch. The owner's note gives the same ring strings, and every part of it is borne out by the photographs; the note decided nothing the discs did not show. The mould SID codes were not read cleanly and were not used. The version list is incomplete by construction, so an uncatalogued pressing can't be excluded.

Both mirror rings were photographed close up under raking light. Disc 1: 'WWW.MEDIAMOTION.COM' (IMG_3318, IMG_3319), '3364382 @ 1' (IMG_3320), '010106-NL' (IMG_3321), mastering code 'IFPI LW03' (IMG_3318). Disc 2: 'WWW.MEDIAMOTION.COM 3364402' (IMG_3323, IMG_3324), '3364402 @ 1' (IMG_3325), '010107-NL' (IMG_3326), 'IFPI LW03' (IMG_3322). A moulded 'ifpi' code is visible on disc 2's clear hub (IMG_3324) but the letters after 'ifpi' don't resolve reliably.
