The mirror ring: CP32-5610 1A1 T0. Read off four raking-light frames (IMG_3137-IMG_3140), which agree on everything except the last glyph - a small rounded character that reads equally as a capital O or a zero. The owner, holding the disc, put it the same way. On a CD this etching is the deadwax and the strongest thing available, but it only discriminates against recorded matrices, and the committed version list carries none.

The object, and what marks it out
Sleeve, labels and inserts
- With its obi, and the obi is not a reproduction of the printing on anything else here - it carries the yen price and the
〈ロック〉genre mark, which is what puts this copy on the retail side of the promo row. - Complete paperwork: the sixteen-page English booklet, and the separate folded Japanese sheet with Masa Itoh's notes and the lyric translations. That sheet is headed for the LP, cassette and CD together -
ZP28-5610 (CD)CP32-5610- so it is the common Toshiba insert, not a CD-only one. - Condition: the obi is intact with light wear at the folds; the case is yellowed at the edges and the tray is the old off-white type. The disc face is clean, with a small dark speck near the ring visible in the raking-light frames.
- The mirror ring was photographed under raking light, four frames walking round the same arc - which is why there is a ring reading here at all rather than a note saying one is missing.

It is the only dated string on the packaging and it points at the 1989 repress; it cannot do more than point, because no row in the version list records its own inlay code. CDP 7 90258 2besideCP32-5610on the disc face. Corroboration, not a discriminator: three of the four surviving candidates carry both numbers in the version list, and the fourth carries the Japanese one.- The retail obi and the barcode
T4988006 622296. These rule the promo row 15460954 out of the set, and do nothing to separate the four that are left - a barcode is shared across pressings of one commercial release.

Confirmed by the owner on 2026-09-27, checked by eye against Discogs release 5139221. The reasoning below is what stood before that.
A raking-light macro is already here, so the missing half is on the Discogs side: comparing CP32-5610 1A1 T0 and the inlay code X~89・4・23 R・4・24 against each of 17242837, 5798839, 5139221 and 9600833 on their own release pages, where the matrix / run-out and notes fields live. The committed version list carries neither field, so nothing in this folder can be checked against them yet.
