Why this grade
catalogue 7460454 is legible on both shell sides and the J-card spine, and among the three Argentina cassette entries in the cached version list it matches only release 19677454 - the other two (4860268, 18250, 81 2402004; 27850266, 66873, 81 2402004) carry different numbers. Country is equally certain from SADAIC-BIEM/AADI-CAPIF, INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA and FAB. Y DIST. POR EMI-ODEON S.A.I.C.. But per this project's own rule a catalogue number is the thing already matched on, not an added discriminator, and cassettes carry no run-out or matrix equivalent to supply one. Discogs' own notes for 19677454 and the 1984 original 4860268 are word-for-word identical - same front-cover badges, same Spanish tracklist - so the artwork doesn't separate them either. Probable is the honest ceiling. - Confirmed by the owner, checked by eye against Discogs release 19677454 on 2026-09-27; that decision supersedes the narrowing above.

The object, and what marks it out

Sleeve, labels and inserts

Case - standard clear cassette case, intact.
Shell - clear plastic, silver/chrome printed labels on both sides; catalogue 7 460454 and INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA are printed directly onto the shell, not a sticker.
J-card - single-fold insert; front carries standard Powerslave artwork plus the "heavy metal" and skull HARD ... '85 campaign badges, spine carries the barcode and boxed 81 / 7 46045 4 block, interior carries the full Spanish tracklist, personnel credits and rights-society panel.
A timing discrepancy between the two printed tracklists: the spine strip gives side B as 25.39, the interior insert gives it as 25'59" - a print inconsistency on the item itself, not a reading error (both cropped and re-read at native resolution).

What distinguishes this pressing

Catalogue 7460454, printed on both shell sides and the J-card spine - matched only by release 19677454 among the three Argentina cassette candidates on the cached version list; the other two carry 18250, 81 2402004 (1984) and 66873, 81 2402004 (undated reissue).
SADAIC-BIEM / AADI-CAPIF with INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA place this pressing in Argentina, but equally for all three surviving candidates - country doesn't separate them, only the catalogue string does.
The front-cover badges are not a discriminator here. Discogs' notes describe the identical "heavy metal" / hard attack '85 / EMI badges on both 19677454 and the 1984 original 4860268 - the artwork is shared across at least two catalogue numbers.
Boxed 81 on the front cover and spine is the same prefix carried in the two Argentine vinyl catalogue numbers on this shelf (81 2402001 in folder 109, 81 2402004 recorded for cassette 4860268) - plausibly a local EMI-Odeon series index rather than part of this cassette's own catalogue string, which Discogs records simply as 7460454. Not confirmed against any Discogs field, so not treated as identifying.
No matrix, mould code or run-out equivalent exists on a cassette (per formats.md), so nothing beyond the printed catalogue number survives as a discriminator between the 1984 and 1988 Argentine editions - the honest ceiling for this format.

Confirmed by the owner on 2026-09-27, checked by eye against Discogs release 19677454. The reasoning below stood at Probable before that. Country (Argentina) and catalogue (7 460454 / 7460454) are certain from both shell sides, the J-card spine block and the interior rights panel - SADAIC-BIEM, AADI-CAPIF, INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA and FAB. Y DIST. POR EMI-ODEON S.A.I.C. all agree, and the barcode 7 2437 46045 4 0 is legible on the front panel. The cached version list holds three Argentina cassette entries; only one shares this catalogue number:

4860268 - 1984	Ruled out on catalogue: `18250, 81 2402004`, not `7460454`. Its Discogs notes are word-for-word identical to 19677454's - same front-cover badges, same Spanish tracklist - so the badges do not discriminate between the two; only the printed catalogue number does.
27850266 - undated reissue	Ruled out on catalogue: `66873, 81 2402004`. Discogs' own note calls it a "different catalog number than this edition [4860268]".

Standing caveat: this method cannot exclude a pressing absent from Discogs.

Why Probable and not Confirmed: the catalogue number is the only thing that separates the surviving candidates, and per this project's own rule a catalogue number is "the thing you already matched on", not an independent discriminator. Cassettes carry no run-out or matrix equivalent, and the one candidate this copy could be confused with (4860268) shares identical front-cover artwork and tracklist notes, down to the same misspelled-in-print Discogs description. Nothing further legible on the shell or J-card separates 19677454 from 4860268 beyond the catalogue string itself, so Probable is the honest ceiling here, consistent with formats.md's warning that cassettes carry the least release-specific information of any format.

Also worth recording: a print inconsistency on the item itself. The spine tracklist strip gives side B's running time as 25.39; the interior insert gives it as 25'59". Both were cropped and re-read at native resolution - this is a genuine discrepancy in the original printing, not a transcription error here.
