Why this grade
C1-90258 on the side two label and CI-90258 on the lyric panel, with Manufactured by Capitol Records, Inc., ... Hollywood, California. and Printed in U.S.A. beside it, fit three vinyl rows of the master: two 1988 American pressings (1763028, SRC; 10665279, Allied) and a Barbadian one (7016264). The Canadian row 422006 shares the number but credits Capitol Records-EMI of Canada, which this copy's Hollywood block contradicts. The three survivors are separated by their run-out etchings and by one label embossing, and no run-out was photographed legibly: the deadwax band is in frame at the edge of IMG_2450 and IMG_2451, but dark and unlit, and nothing etched resolves in native-resolution crops pushed hard on contrast. The Barbados row records nothing about its labels or sleeve, so the American manufacturing text on this copy does not exclude it -- an unfilled field is not a difference. Country is US on the object's own manufacturing statement, with the Barbados row still standing. The barcode would not help: all three carry 077779025817, and none was photographed. Standing caveat: this method cannot exclude a pressing absent from Discogs.

Sleeve, labels and inserts

Jacket front -- the standard painting, with edge wear and light scuffing. No hype sticker or shrink wrap appears in these photographs.
Lyric panel -- cream, printed in black: lyrics, band photograph, credits, CI-90258 and the Capitol manufacturing block. Whether this is the jacket's rear or the printed inner sleeve that both American candidates record is not settled by these photographs: no frame shows a spine, an open edge or both faces of one object, and no barcode appears anywhere on it.
Labels -- side two carries the eye/Eddie artwork overprinted with the tracklist, logos, catalogue numbers and credits; side one carries the artwork alone. Side two has a patch of paper scuffed away below the spindle hole and another across the second catalogue number.
567 stickers on both labels -- a stock or collector's number of unknown origin.
Vinyl -- black. The run-out was not photographed legibly.

Sleeve: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no splits or seam separation visible in these shots.
Vinyl: light surface marks and handling sheen catch the light. No visible deep scratches, warping or edge damage in these photographs. The labels are clean and unmarked.

The Canadian row 422006 is out: it credits Capitol Records-EMI of Canada as manufacturer, and this copy says Capitol Records, Inc., Hollywood.

What would settle it, in order:

1. A raking-light photograph of the run-out, both sides. This is the one shot the folder lacks, and it separates all three forms. A … ROGER 007 etching means Barbados. SP-AR, Δ19983 or B-30664 means Allied. Either C1-1-90258-Z2 form rules out Barbados. 2. If the run-out reads only the form both US plants share (C1-1-90258-Z2-DMM 1-3 Sterling), look for E A S T embossed around the side two label's spindle hole, with a lamp held low. Discogs attaches it to SRC alone. Its absence is weaker evidence than its presence, and this copy has paper scuffed away just below the hole, which could have taken part of it.

Already attempted from these photographs. IMG_2450's spindle area and the deadwax bands of IMG_2450 and IMG_2451 were cropped at native resolution and pushed hard on contrast. Neither shows anything legible, because both frames are lit for the label, not the groove.

Standing caveat: this method cannot exclude a pressing absent from Discogs.
