The object, and what marks it out
Sleeve, labels and inserts
- Outer sleeve - single, standard artwork, locally printed.
- Inner sleeve - printed paper, creased and dog-eared, with lyrics, credits and a band photograph on the side that was photographed. Not the heavy cardboard inner the other Brazilian edition was issued with, and the material is what identifies this copy.
- Labels - the EMI globe design, rendered here in yellow, violet and olive rather than the yellow/green/blue of the UK copy, with a Portuguese text block.
What distinguishes this pressing
- A paper inner sleeve, not heavy cardboard. The material is the one physical difference Discogs records between the two Brazilian editions sharing this catalogue number, and unlike the label colour it needs no judgement about hue under a warm light.
- A registration number printed after every track -

Condition, from the photographs
A photograph cannot grade a record - this is a description of what is visible, not a grade.
- Sleeve: general handling wear with some edge and corner softening; no splits or seam separation visible in these shots.
- Vinyl: light surface marks and handling sheen catch the light. No visible deep scratches, warping or edge damage in these photographs. The labels are clean and unmarked.
Nothing on this page comes from playing the record. No Goldmine grade is claimed for it, or any other. I have no record of where this copy came from.
What is settled, and what is not
Confirmed, and settled without new photography. Brazil and catalogue 066 790258 1 were never in doubt. Discogs lists two 1988 Brazilian editions under that number and separates them on two physical features:

The earlier version of this entry said, correctly, that label colour judged from a phone photograph under warm light should not decide an identification, and asked for a photograph of the inner sleeve instead. That photograph was already in the folder. IMG_0652 shows a printed paper sleeve, creased and dog-eared at the corners, carrying the lyrics to all eight tracks with a band photograph.
What the discriminator actually is, precisely. It is the material, not the printing: 3736905 has a paper inner, 8962951 a heavy cardboard one, and Discogs does not say the cardboard is unprinted - so "printed" would not separate them, while paper against cardboard does. A heavy cardboard inner does not dog-ear.
And one thing is not confirmed. Discogs describes 3736905's inner as carrying "lyrics and eddie image". The photographed side carries the lyrics and a photograph of the band; the Eddie image would be on the reverse, which nobody photographed. Nothing contradicts the description, but only half of it is observed here, and the other half is still worth a frame.
So the colour is corroboration rather than the decision, which is the right way round: the material settles it, and the violet label agrees.
Standing caveat: this method cannot exclude a pressing absent from Discogs.
